Forecasts for the construction sector in Europe

Last December in Munich, EUROCONSTRUCT, an independent market research group for the construction industry that is made up of 19 european instututes, presented a report on the current situation and forecast for the construction sector in Europe.

According to the report, the construction sector in the 19 markets analysed by EUROCONSTRUCT (Austria, Belgium, Czech Rep., Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, Irleand, Holland, Norway, Poland, Slovakia., Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom) could reach the record figure of 2.6 milion new homes built in 2007. Remarkably, almost a third of these new homes correspond to the Spanish market.

As for the year 2008, a slight set back is forecast in the construction sector. However, according to the afore-mentioned report, there are some notorious exceptions: while the construction of new homes in Ireland is expected to decrease by 16% in 2009 compared with 2006, this activity could increase by 10% for the same period in Holland, the U.K., Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

New corporate website in hungarian

As of this month of January, the BERALMAR corporate website is also available in Hungarian. .

In this way, BERALMAR intends to bring its corporate information closer to Hungarian brickmakers in the best way : in their own language.

The same principle will be applied for other markets. Thus, our website will be also available in Polish, Serbo-Croat, Russian and Turkish very soon.

We hope this version will be of great use for our Hungarian friends.

New project in Hungary

In the summer of 2006, the brickmaker PÁPATESZÉRI TÉGLAIPARI Kft. of Pápateszér (Hungary) put its trust in BERALMAR TECNOLOGIC for the construction of a new 79 metre long tunnel kiln  for a daily production of 300 Tm of thermoblock and different types of hollow brick. This is a renewed trust, as BERALMAR built in 2002 a GARBI semicontinuous dryer of green loading on platforms, ,for this Hungarian brickmaker.

The kiln that is being built is a PRESTHERMIC model, BERALMAR’s most sophisticated kiln, that allows working at high temperatures and pressures with no energy loss thanks to its sealing ability.

The new facility will be fitted with equipment designed and manufactured by BERALMAR, such as the MICROFIBER automatic control system, a comprehensive tool designed to manage the production parameters of the firing process and to optimize energy consumption.

It is expected that the kiln will be put to work in May 2007.

New 14,000,000 kcal/hr air vein gas heater

BERALMAR has put to work the most powerful Air Vein type gas hot air generator  it has ever manufactured: the VA-140, of 14.000.000 Kcal/hour, which has been started up successfully in the automobile plant of SEAT-VOLKSWAGEN in Martorell, Barcelona.

BERALMAR has been manufacturing Air Vein type gas heat generators since the 1970’s, either for feeding air mixing chambers or for being assembled into air pipes, of power ranging from 250.000 to 10.000.000 Kcal/hour, but it has never received an order for such a huge model before.

The statistics of the heater designed by Eng. Roger Serrano of the R+D Department are gigantic: 7.5 m2 of combustion surface, gas consumption of 1.500 Ncm/hour, double safety ramp, double body to decrease the ignition surface, generation of air up to 500ºC and an airflow of up to 140.000 cm/hour.

The most remarkable thing about this project is BERALMAR’s capacity to adapt to the customer’s needs and to start from the beginning with the guarantee that it can meet any challenge.
