TREATISE ON DRYING AND FIRING

The January newsletter featured the final installment of Beralmar’s Treatise on drying and firing, written by two in-house engineers, Artur Massaguer and Santi Amposta.

The entire treatise will soon be published as a single, indexed file, publicly available on the BERALMAR website. In the meantime, individual chapters of the treatise can be downloaded from the website in English, French and Russian, with the exception of a few chapters in Russian that will soon be available.

We trust that our readers have found the treatise useful, and judging by the number of downloads so far, it would seem that they have.

CERAMATECH 2016 CONCLUSIONS

As we have already reported, from 26 to 29 January the CERAMATECH 2016 fair was held in Moscow (Russia).

The fair brought a good number of visitors, with whom BERALMAR was able to share first hand its latest projects in Russia.

As is well known, the present value of the Russian currency is an added difficulty for investors considering new projects in Russia. Nevertheless, BERALMAR is confident that, sooner rather than later, the current situation will improve, allowing many ceramics projects in Russia to move forward.

BERALMAR AT THE BIG 5 SAUDI 2016 FAIR

BERALMAR will once again take part in THE BIG 5 SAUDI fair, to be held from 7 to 10 March in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).

Visitors can meet the team from BERALMAR at stand 2D-21 of the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events. See the map of the fair.

CERAMICS SYMPOSIUM IN DHAKA (BANGLADESH)

The ECTS (European Ceramic Technology Suppliers) association has organized a ceramics symposium starting 7 March in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

The topic of the symposium will be “European Technology Suppliers : Helping Bangladesh Improve Quality & Resource Efficiency of Its Brick Sector”, and it will be held at the Sarina Inn in Dhaka. There will be presentations from various European suppliers of ceramics technology, including BERALMAR.

BERALMAR will offer a presentation on technologies applicable to the Bengali ceramics industry by Jordi Castellà, BERALMAR area manager for the Indian subcontinent.

Those interested in attending the symposium can contact Jordi Castellà at: jordi.castella@beralmar.com

We look forward to seeing you in Dhaka!

COMMISSIONING OF A NEW FACTORY IN BOLIVIA

BERALMAR has just commissioned a new factory: CERÁMICA DEL ESTE in Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia), with a 600 t/day production line of ceramic blocks.

The project is of significant size, as the production capacity of 600 t/day makes it the most productive ceramics plant in the country.

BERALMAR’s supply for the CERÁMICA DEL ESTE project comprises:

- MESTRAL semi-continuous dryer.

- FORNTHERMIC tunnel kiln, measuring 127 metres long and 4.5 metres wide.

The entire manufacture process will be fuelled by natural gas, which is very affordable in Bolivia.

We would like to record our thanks here to the owner and management of CERÁMICA DEL ESTE for the trust placed in BERALMAR.

Beralmar, 50 years with you!
